Transferrable Skills Highlight

System Thinking
Engaging in landscape design involves a broader perspective, considering factors like topography and their impact on drainage systems. This allows me to approach projects holistically, ensuring a big-picture view.
Data-driven Process
In landscape design, I conduct site analyses to comprehend natural and cultural conditions. I engage with residents to understand their needs. This thorough research informs my design decisions, resulting in impactful landscapes.

3D Modeling
I possess proficiency in 3D modeling, such as physical products and spatial environments. My skill extends to transforming 2D objects into dynamic 3D formats, bringing concepts to life with precision and creativity.

Cross-functional Collaboration
Within my work, I actively collaborate with a diverse team comprising architects, civil engineers, surveyors and contractors. Together, we craft comprehensive landscape packages that align with clients' needs.
My background is in Landscape Architecture.
In May of 2023, I graduated from design school at Cornell University. Currently, I am working as a landscape designer and UX designer.
In this role, I collaborate closely with a team to brainstorm creative ideas and concepts for public spaces, collectively analyze and propose solutions to address people's needs, and engage in iterative processes with clients to refine our designs.

But, I wanted more.
While I cherished the intricate connection between nature and human interaction, I couldn't help but feel discontented with the industry's sluggish pace. My desire was to propel my design skills forward at a quicker tempo and make a meaningful impact on a significantly larger audience.
Is there something called UX?
I started exploring new things. I came across UX design and thought it might be challenging.
To delve deeper into this newfound interest, while at Cornell, my degree's concentration shifted to HCI design. Also, I enrolled in the Springboard Bootcamp. Between August and October 2023, I had the opportunity to gain experience as a UX intern at a startup, providing me with insights into how UX design operates in a real-world industry.

Making it all happen.
To my advantage, I was able to leverage a lot of skills and design principles I had picked up from landscape architecture to greatly expedite my journey in UX Design.
I enjoy problem-solving through the application of research and the iterative design process. Between October and December 2023, I participated in design competitions with two teammates, and we have won five international awards to date!
In my spare time,
you can discover me exploring museums, capturing moments through photography, embarking on adventures, and eagerly exploring the newest in technology!
